Kelly Witmer has lived and worked in the Echo Park/ Silverlake area for over ten years. She grew up in Gettysburg, PA and received her BFA in photography at the Philadelphia University of Art before moving west to Los Angeles. In 1995 she opened a vintage clothing store in Silverlake called Pull My Daisy. She sold the business in 2001 to pursue her painting career, doing commissions for interior designers, rentals for the motion picture industry, as well as public art (such as a bus stop mural located on the corner of Echo Park and Montana Avenues). It was not long before she began another business with two partners, called Revival Furniture located in Lincoln Heights.
After years of searching flea markets and yard sales for collectable clothing and furniture, Kelly decided to focus on the big hunt: homes. Using her personal experience with rehabbing an Echo Park fixer as well as renting out her duplex, she can share her knowledge with buyers and find them the perfect fit. Her background in business helps in negotiations, and her degree in photography and experience in graphic design and marketing gives sellers an advantage in getting the best price for their home.
Kelly is active in her community, and gives tours as a volunteer for the Echo Park Historical Society. She lives on Lemoyne Street in Echo Park with a brown dog named Shaft.
